CND organises regular important campaign events when we ask people to take action in a certain way on
Trident, be it coming to an demonstration, writing a letter or signing a petition.
Yorkshire CND travels up to every one of the major blockades of the base that are organised by Scottish CND and Trident
Ploughshares. You can come along and support the actions or take part in direct action yourself. We provide all the info, briefings, transport and accomodation.
In the mean time, you can write to your MP and tell them to oppose Trident and promote nuclear disarmament. Yorkshire CND has the contact details of all MPs in Yorkshire. You could write to your paper when a relevant news story comes up to remind the world that the UK has weapons of mass destruction (WMD) on patrol at sea 24 hours a day. |

And why not write to the MOD and ask them how we can expect other countries to live up to their commitments under the Non-proliferation treaty if we won't do it ourselves. We are committed to nuclear disarmament under thattreaty, yet the UK government has donenothing to disarm, choosing instead to promote the deveopment of new nukes
